Las Vegas Trip Results

Mike Adams II played very well in Las Vegas and lasted for about

three hours but had some bad luck and didn't place in the money.

Matt Phillips ran into some really bad luck and with a flop of trip

10's he went all in to be drawn out on the river by K's. He was out of

the tournament in 24 minutes.

(His wife did very well at roulette and I think she came home with the

money.) Nice going!

The May 6-7th Tournament had 143 Players starting and the play was great with the normal beats and best hands. There were two straight flushes and several quads for big hands.  We got down to the final table of ten players by 6 pm Sunday.

The final table and chip count :

            Seat 2             Victor                          10000

Seat 3             Mike Adams II            60000

            Seat 4             Mike Herbert              250000

            Seat 5             Brent Holly                 20000

            Seat 9             James Hall                90000

            Seat 10        Jon Bratmueller           150000

The chip leader Mike Herbert was playing well and looked like the favorite to win.  But we’ll see.  The blinds are 5000/10000 with an ante of 500 and 8 minutes left at this level.

The first hand and Victor goes all in with K 4 suited and is called by Mike Adams with K 9 suited and with no help from the board Victor is out in 10th place. This is starting out fast.

Hand 4, John Rice is the BB and two players limp in before Brent Holly goes all in for 12000. John Rice reraises to 27000 and Mike Herbert calls. The flop is A 6 4, and John bets 60000, Mike folds and John Rice shows A Q, Brent shows J K. The turn is a 10 and the river is a 9 and we have lost Brent in 9th place.  We are on break. The new chip counts are

We had some great play in this last 12 week session.

Chris Galley finished in 1st place, and was very impressive with a perfect 12 games in 48 tries. That will be a hard record to beat.

Two of our women players finished  right behind Chris with an average of 98 each.

Nancy Greenier  with an actual average of 98.34 had a slight lead over Nancy Brogdon with a 97.50.

Ronnie Wilhoit continued his good play this session with a 77 average for the first 12 games played.

Jason Light & Chad Carberry both had a 75 average for the first 12 games played.

Sherry Jones with a 73 average for the first 12 games shows that she definitely has learned this game.

Josh Barrett had a very nice 70 average for the first 12 games.

The end of session tournament May 27th promises to be a fun filled time for all.

The new session starts on May 22nd.

The Best Player---Session End Tournament will be held at Numan's on May 27th at 1pm.

We will have the bounties again and Prizes for lots of different things.

Got some good looking and different trophies. Maybe a few surprises.

Bailey's Sports Grill has decided to do its own thing and we are no longer playing there.

We will miss them and wish them luck with what ever they do.

Things are picking up in Nashville and hopefully they will get more players and locations.

The Ladies tour is back up and running on Tuesday night. We did send one player to Las Vegas, Melissa Shaffer, and she did quite well. Maybe we can send more this year. We really do have some pretty good women players.
